Compression / Extension / Torsion Springs
As part of this fall’s 2020 CASMI SPRINGWORLD Event at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL, the Spring Manufacturers Institute will offer three separate spring design training classes:
SMI’s newly designed comprehensive spring training courses combine classroom-taught content with practical hands-on use of SMI’s world-famous Advanced Spring Design 7 (ASD7) software.
Courses will introduce basic level compression, extension, and torsion spring designs using SMI’s ASD7 spring design software. Each spring type will be taught in a separate 4-hour module. C ourses are organized as focused, real-world spring design training programs.
For each spring type, students will learn:
Students will have the opportunity to seek opinions and clarification of any spring-related issues which they may have.
Classes will benefit the student by increasing their spring design knowledge and their company by having an SMI-trained associate as part of their team.

Rick Gordon, SMI’s Technical Director, will facilitate the classes and Todd Piefer, ASD7 Software expert from UTS and SMI technical committee members will be on hand to answer any software and application questions.
The cost for an individual training module is: $295 for SMI members, $425 for non-members.
Price includes lunch, professionally bound course manual and course content, and SMI Certificate of Attendance.
